Chemistry @ Columbia University

During the two years I spent working on my master's degree at Columbia University in the City of New York in the Department of Chemistry,  I was fortunate to work with an amazing group of people. The Turro group, under the direction of Dr. Nicholas Turro, focused on a variety of different projects that all had the common theme of photochemistry. My primary project was a collaboration between the Chemistry department and Chemical Engineering investigating the possibilities of using light to self-assemble engineered polymer scaffolds for biomedical applications. My secondary project studied the dynamics of micelles using phosphorescence. The following presentation summarizes my work and results; please excuse the image quality as the digital files no longer exist.
